Same Sun

Sunday wisdom: Share the Love.

The weekends last longer in the simmering summer sunshine. We spend less time pacing the indoors and more time barefoot on the sandy shores. The heat from the sun rekindles our energy; it's like a glowing sphere of alcohol that makes us more outgoing. We share the love of happiness that summer brings us - the same way sharing a cup of tea brings out the smiles and true emotions of ourselves.

When it feels like the sun is a million miles away (which, it is), I long for the heat to hug my freckled shoulders; I crave that frosty #Blizzard after a salty ocean dip; I yearn to cycle around the lakes, manure-rich farms and arrive home to stretch out on the warm hammock. Sometimes, you feel so worn out - like trying to attach yourself to a wall but falling down like used taped on a poster.

But, I must admit, those dark rainy days have their own charm too. A few days ago, I was snuggled up with a book, my wedding blanket, and the deafening sound of the June rain. Peace. No responsibilities. I absorbed the rain as if standing under a waterfall without getting wet. When the rain stopped, back to the sound of silence.

Just like we need sleep, the sun must go down too. You may not feel the heat every minute of every day, but you can reserve the fuel for moments of darkness. Share the love - take a walk with the ones you love and be greedy for every last drop of the day's sun.
