Resilience

Writer's picture: CaitlynSarahDavisCaitlynSarahDavis

Since you asked:

Silence, you see,

is the lens we use to lie.

Lies sprouting from earless people,

no eyes, only mouths and tongues

drawing thick lines

thicker and thicker between seers and leers.

Since you asked:

silence, you see,

is a deafening line

like a scratched movie reel,

one sided sickness digging deeper and

deeper. Ire running on thin ice.

Since you asked:

silence, you see,

carries no license to rinse our past.

It's an eerie sin -

silence -

since you asked.

You see, rise and rinse your past

a new lens is all you need to see.
